Shipping Policy

***Processing & Transit times have been affected by COVID-19 and high volume of incoming / outgoing orders.  Updated April 2022

Here at Austral Amusement co, we hope everyone is staying safe during these testing times

Our warehouse remains fully functional and we are continuing to dispatch orders but some orders can take between 4-7 working days to dispatch (Provided products are in stock). We appreciate your patience as Australia and everywhere globally are facing unprecedented delays due to high demand on resources being placed on third party logistics services including warehousing and courier networks.

 These delays are due to:

Grounded flights – As there are far less flights interstate and overseas, and borders have been locked down or require stringent checks before crossing, it means freight is now traveling by road where it can.
Less scans for tracking – To ensure parcels keep moving, there will be limited scans on items which will result in delayed tracking. Some items may reach their destination before tracking appears.
Government Restrictions on LGAs and staffing at Depots – Staff numbers at all carrier depots have decreased to comply with current government restrictions
All Services – Currently both standard and express services are experiencing the same delays.

At the moment, we are seeing ETAs in the following transit times (once your order has been shipped) with our standard shipping service:

Sydney Metro, NSW – 2-4 business days

Melb Metro, VIC-Regional, ACT, QLD, SA – 3-7 business days

WA, TAS, NT – 4-10 business days

**Some parcels may arrive sooner, however, these will be the exception**

We understand these delays are significant, unfortunately, due to increased restrictions placed in these unprecedented times, all carriers are doing everything they can to get parcels to their destination as quickly as possible.

Postage

All items must be paid for before dispatch and it is the customer who covers the cost of Freight unless otherwise arranged.

What is the cost of shipping? 

The standard freight charge on most orders is from $10.40 standard and express is from $13.45  however if it costs more you will be notified before shipping.

**If you order several products and one of the items is out of stock, then there may be an additional shipping fee if you wish to arrange part shipping of your order. We usually only charge a flat fee of $6.95 to part ship an order however this may vary depending on the size of the order and destination. 

 

What is the Cost of Shipping Bulky Items?

The shipping cost for bulky items or bulky orders will vary depending on the product(s) you order and also the postcode / delivery address. We will contact you before to discuss your options and freight charges and you can decide whether you would like to proceed or not. We will never charge any extra shipping fees without your approval. 

What is the transit time for your deliveries?

Once your order is dispatched from our warehouse, it generally takes between 1-5 days to get delivered, subject to your location. There can be extra delays for remote locations in which case deliveries can take between 5-10 business days. 

As a guide, you could expect the following : Sydney Metro are generally around 1-2 business days. ACT and Regional NSW is around 2-4 days. Main towns in SA, VIC, QLD can take 2-4 business days. Main towns in WA would be around 3-5 business days. NT is around 5-10 business days. Since COVID, Transit times may be affected. 

***Processing & Transit times have been affected by COVID-19. This is partially due to working with reduced staff in our warehouse & head office to keep inline with advise from NSW Health as well as delays caused by Australia Post due to a substantial overload on their network. Please rest assure that we are making every effort to process and ship your order in a timely manner but we would greatly appreciate some patience until we resume normal capacity again. 

What is the Method of shipping?

We currently use Australia Post.This is a standard service and express service. These shipments are tracked and fully insured. So if anything goes wrong, we are able to help you out. 

Do you offer Express Shipping?

Yes, we do! We can offer express shipping to most locations in Australia starting at $25 and $30 for up to 5KG (cubic weight). For express shipping on orders over 5KG, a shipping quotation will need to be arranged. Please send us an e-mail we’ll provide you with a quote  info@australamusements.com.au. ***Since COVID, Australia Post and other carriers are not guaranteeing overnight express deliveries however, express deliveries do still get priority and arrive sooner than standard deliveries. 

Can you ship to a PO Box address? 

Yes, we do. Just place your order as you normally would and enter the PO Box details in the delivery address section on the checkout page.

What is your cut-off time for shipping and How soon will our order get dispatched?

Normally, orders for products that are in stock and placed before 13:00 (1:00pm) on weekdays (excluding public holidays) will be shipped on the same day. 

Orders that are placed after 13:00 (1:00pm), on weekends or on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

If any of the items on your order aren’t in stock, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and provide an estimated shipping time. This will normally be 3-4 days, but can be longer for more popular items.
